Fort Huachuca Supply Services under the
Support for Directorate of Logistics
VT Group manages and operates the Directorate of Logistics
Supply and Services Branch, providing requisitioning, receiving,
storing, maintenance, inventory, issuing, disposal and formal
accountability for all materiel and equipment (except medical)
required for all units and activities supported by Fort Huachuca,
Ariz. Excluding food services support, we process more than
57,000 transactions a year, including 22,294 requests, 19,603
receipts, 3,359 issues and 12,099 turn-ins.
Supply services include the following activities:
Supply Support Activity (SSA)
A supply distribution activity that provides Direct Support (DS)
of supply classes II, IV, VII and IX to non-Direct Support System
(DSS) units on a customer support basis. We process more than
19,000 supply requests through the SSA annually.
Ammunition Supply Point (ASP)
Requisitions, receives, stores and issues ammunitions and
explosives. Our team was commended for their accountability
after the Defense Ammunition Center's annual inspection.
Cannibalization Point (CP)
Co-located with the Directorate of Logistics maintenance
function, the CP is a supply source where authorized customers
obtain vehicular and power-generating equipment parts "as is."
Central Issue Facility (CIF)
A source of supply for selected categories of Organizational
Clothing and Individual Equipment (OCIE). Approximately 890
requisitions annually.
Food Services Support Office (FSSO)
Manages and provides food service support for all customers
authorized to receive Class 1 support from the installation.
Nearly 64,000 transactions are processed annually.
POL Dispensing Facilities
Two facilities issue unleaded and JP-8 fuels to all authorized
vehicles and aircraft (including in-transit, rotary and
fixed-wing). We process 2,500 requests and dispense more than
1.4 million gallons of fuel annually.
Garrison Property Office (GPO)
A supply source for non-expendable, expendable and durable
material required for units and activities on Fort Huachuca.
VT Group provides this service for those units not maintaining
their own property book. The GPO processes more than 2,000
issues annually.
