SeaPort-eThe U.S. Navy took a quantum step forward in Virtual Systems (VS) Command Initiatives on 31 May 2005 when 504 Multiple Award Contracts (MACs) were awarded for support services under the Rolling Admission provision of SeaPort-e. These MACs are for support services for all phases of weapon systems acquisition, including Research & Development Support, Prototyping, Acquisition Logistics, Modeling, Test & Evaluation, Trials Support and Engineering Support. These MACs will be used by the VS command members; Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP), Military Sealift Command (MSC), Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC), Strategic Systems Programs, and the United States Marine Corps. VT Aepco and the VT Aepco SeaPort-e Team are proud to be included in the U.S. Navy's efforts to meet the Chief of Naval Operations Seapower 21 objectives to be more efficient and effective by using a web-based, e-business procurement Portal. |
