VT Aepco represents extensive successful business management experience while providing professional support services to DoD and other government entities. VT Aepco has been consistently ranked among the Top 500 Design Firms in the United States, as well as one of the Top 200 International Design Firms as compiled by the Engineering News-Record. Monitor and Maximize QualityAll members of Team VT Aepco have succeeded in delivering high quality products and services by creating and enforcing quality assurance guidelines at all levels. The initial quality control check comes with the day-to-day monitoring of task progress by the Project Leader. The Project Leader is also responsible for reviewing required products and services, i.e., engineering drawings, software, documentation, on-site support, training sessions, presentation material, schedules, etc., as they are generated. The reviews are intended to check products and services for proper functional operation, technical adequacy and accuracy, and clarity of documentation presentation. The Program Manager holds weekly meetings with the staff to review each current project’s status, technical problems/resolutions and to provide technical and functional guidance. The Program Manager will also conduct a final review to ensure that products and services conform to contract requirements, are technically correct, and measure up to VT Aepco's standards prior to submission. Supervisors and the Program Manager also conduct unannounced spot-checks to assure consistent, high-quality performance. In addition, feedback from the client is obtained informally during day-to-day discussions and formally during meetings such as Program Reviews. VT Aepco’s use of quality assurance and configuration control applications are tools utilized by everyone and monitored exclusively by the Program Manager and the Project Leaders. These tools assist VT Aepco in ensuring product quality. Certifications held by Team VT Aepco which are indicative of team commitment to the application of high standard, high quality management enhancements include: ISO-9001, Six Sigma Certified individuals, and assessed Software Engineering Institute's System Engineering Capability Maturity Model® (SEI SE-CMM®) Level 3. These certifications also represent other keys to maximizing quality while controlling project costs. Problem Resolution / Risk MitigationVT Aepco’s standard five-step risk management process provides a means for tailoring the overall risk process to suit project needs; identifying and characterizing risks; assessing and prioritizing risks; mitigating risks; and tracking and evaluating risk mitigation and process performance. The Program Manager oversees the risk management process and applies resources towards mitigating project risks where appropriate. Senior Management has visibility to the project risks during periodic project reviews. Direct management involvement may be required to determine project priorities and provide additional resources to mitigate project risk. |
